I had anti-virus software on my computer. The first time I bought it, I used a credit card. The service had an auto-renew feature, so it renewed every year using the same credit card.
My credit card expired. I got a new one with a new expiry, but it had the same number.
Since the anti-virus company had my old expiry on file, I figured it wouldn't auto-renew. But it did. How did they get my new info?|||Just like when you close a credit card.
If there is a merchant that you dealt with and charge you a fee - the transaction would go through.
Charges can go through on closed credit cards.
You get the bill.
They simply charge your old credit card.
/|||McAfee by any chance?
