What is the best credit card for student looking to get airline miles?

I am a college student with decent credit ( but my Dad will help and cosign)

I want the best credit card for students that I can use to get airline/ frequent flier miles. What is a good card that is easy to use, easy to redeem and gets you a lot of miles?|||There's no such thing as a good credit card to receive airline miles, unless you pay the balance every month. Airline cards have higher interest rates and the amount of miles needed to receive upgrades and award travel keeps going up and up.

If you insist, look into the Capital One airline rewards card or a credit card issued by the airline you fly the most. In many cases, you can get 15-20,000 bonus miles when you get an airline credit card. Don't forget to read the fine print.|||I know the Citi Forward Card for College Students and the Citi mtvU Card are both good for earning Citi ThankYou points which can be redeemed for airline tickets and other stuff like gift cards. Those cards let you earn 5 ThankYou points per dollar spent at restaurants, books stores, movie theaters, and video rental stores.

There are some other student rewards cards you might want to compare using this rewards calculator:

That calculator will figure out the expected dollar value of your rewards for each card for your entered spending profile. It'll also try to find the best combinations of card for your spending profile.|||By looking at the card selection, you will probably want to look into the Discover Student Card, as you can get some great rewards across many categories.

Check resources such as FindCollegeCards, as well as others to see which one works the best for your wallet. Good luck!
