What's the difference between college credit card and regular credit card?

I am a college student and want to know if I should apply for a college credit card or just apply for the regular ones. Is there some extra benefits or limitations of having a college credit card as oppose to the regular ones?|||college cards usually have lower limits. if you qual for a regular one, that should have better rewards offers like citibank or chase cashback rewards|||The only difference is that college credit cards are easier to qualify for. Generally, you have to have a certain level of income and a certain credit score in order to qualify for a credit card. The college credit card is "set up" so you can qualify for one even if you have no credit, and no income.|||As a college student watch out for all credit cards. The average college student now graduates with over $4000 in credit card debt!! This is not a good way to get ahead. Make it your goal to only spend what you make.|||The difference is that they offer you a lower interest rate, because they know that you probably will max it out and not make payments on time. This means your APR will end up being 200,000 %. Watch out.|||Generally the college ones have a lower interest rate and little or no fees. because yoiu are spending money and time on school, they don't expect you to be working 40+ hrs/wk. they are usually easier to get but they also have a lower limit as opposed to the regular ones.|||Nothing. They are both bad ideas. Colleges sell their name for big money to credit card companies and sell their mailing list also. This is really low of colleges doing this just for money.

40% of bankruptcy filings are by college age kids. What a shame the schools are putting kids in this situation.|||The difference are college card have higher interest rates, and are easier to get
